The question was: “How many software testers are there?” Being editor of a magazine about software testing, that's a number I should have know cold. At the time, I offered an estimate of about... All About Edward J Correia
My first computer was an Atari 800, with which I played Zork and other adventure/fantasy games and dabbled with BASIC programs; circa 1980. After 1984, I moved on to PCs, clones and NetWare, and then to Apple IIs and Macs until 1990. In July of that year I got my first job at a publishing company, supporting about 25 Mac users (including the MacWeek staff).

Now I'm editor of ST&P, a software testing trade pub. I also write a twice-monthly software Test & QA newsletter, and am chairman of the Software Test & Performance and FutureTest conferences.
