There's a new feature at DaniWeb ... member badges They're customized with member usernames, postcount, a 'B' or 'C' symbol if a member is a blogger or contributes to our code snippet library, and a little ribbon which gets brighter with more posts.

All members can get access to their member badge from within their Control Panel. HTML code is provided to put your badge up on the 'net (on your own website or in a DaniWeb Blog).

Hopefully you guys will find lots of creative uses for the lil badges

Signing out,
Dani

Unfortunately images aren't allowed in signatures at DaniWeb.

Just to inform you guys though ... we have a new version of badges now, to go along with our new site makeover!

oooh, shiny....
Cool. I wish I could put it in my signature here but for some reason I just get a link to it.

Jwenting, a lot of thought actually went into the size ... but perhaps in the future I will contemplate coming up with an alternate size in addition It depends on how well the badges take off to convince me to add features and such.

Thanks Mike

I think this is a great idea. I wish I couldve thought of something like this before.

Dani, looks nice but could you put the panels next to each other instead of vertical?
Many sites have restrictions on the height of signature images.

I have just made some internal changes to the badges which gives each badge its own URL (it no longer needs to be called from a PHP page)

You can access your badge at:

Please be sure to update the code if you are using your badge anywhere! Thanks!
