(5/19/2005) - SURREY, B.C. – Canadian web hosting provider MonsterHosting.ca announced this week that it has released a new product designed to allow its reseller clients the option to create backups of their hosted files easily.

The new product, dubbed the Reseller Backup Tool (http://www.resellerbackup.com) was built by the company (http://www.monsterhosting.ca) and is designed to meet specific needs of its resellers.

“The Reseller Backup Tool allows customers to download their online files to their local hard drive to keep as a backup in case of an emergency,� said Gary Jones, MonsterHosting.ca Sales and Marketing Manager.

Users of the software simply enter in standard connection details, and schedule optional automatic backups. The software does the rest.

“Once our software is installed and setup, it simply creates full backups of destination sites and saves everything in a zip file,� said Jones.

Resellers who use the tool do so to supplement existing measures, according to the company.

“They will be able to make their own local copies of their files,� said Jones. “This provides another layer of assurance beyond the backups we make.�

The company is offering the Reseller Backup Tool free to its reseller clients, but is making it available for others as well.

“The reseller tool can be purchased by non-resellers of MonsterHosting.ca online at ResellerBackup.com. Our tool is also available to hosts who wish to have a branded version to distribute to there own customers,� said Jones.

The release of the Reseller Backup Tool is a continuation of a program launched by MonsterHosting.ca in early April that is designed to better meet the needs of small to medium sized businesses.

“We have worked very hard to cater to our ‘SMB’ customers, and so far our efforts have proven to be very successful,� said Jones.
