I have been using ubuntu for quite some time in a dual boot with windows and I have a few questions I would like to ask people with the valid knowledge and opinion.
Will Ubuntu ever take over windows?
Can windows make the drivers for devices such as wireless cards more standard i.e plug and play?
I know, I do think ubuntu has a good wack at taking over the windows OS but a large majority will think im potty, I had a problem with ubuntu :/ I upgraded to 8.04 and the sound is loud and distorted :/ this is not a hardware issue as it works in the windows in dual boot
. but I still think with the amount of people that are working on the Ubuntu distro have a good chance at competing with windows, if not maybe macintosh.
