I have 2 Apple Powerbooks. The first one is a 400 MHz G3 aka "Firewire/Pismo/2000" it has a 14" screen at 1024x768. Also it has a 8 MB of vram, 512 MB PC100, a 40 GB upgraded hard drive, and a DVD drive. I recently purchased a 1.5 GHz G4 with a 12" screen at 1024x768. It has 512 MB of ram, an 80 GB hard drive, 64 MB of vram, and a Superdrive.
The old one is black, the apple symbol was manufactured upside-down at that time for whatever reason, the trackpad button doesn't click anymore, it works just without the nice firm click, the screen gets a reddish tint at the the bottom and the rubber feet fell off the bottom. I STILL LIKE IT BETTER!! That was a sharp design! I know these new aluminum machines are sleeker, faster, and younger, but I find myself missing the good old days when it was just me and my pismo against the raging machine of wintel.
