Now you can get some of your favorite software on one usb drive. From linux to opera this seems to be a new way to take your favorite applications with you.
here is a list of some software available:
Opera 9 USB
Portable Firefox
Portable VLC media player
XAMPP: apache server, mysql, php, perl, and other apps
Portable NVU: an opensource web/html editor
Portable OpenOffice
Calendar EXT
Portable Thunderbird
Portable Sunbird
Portable Abiword: a word processor part of an opensource office suite for the GNOME linux desktop enviroment
Mac on a stick: Mac OS 7 on a usb drive
Linux USB
Ubuntu H2
SLAX (i believe)
Portable GIMP: the open source image editor
Portable GAIM: the open source instant messenger
Pstart: an application browser that can launch all your portable apps
There are a couple more too you can find most of them on your handy friend Google. Im not sure but i think there are a couple other linux distros floating around out there that offer the option to boot off of usb thumb drive.
