Microsoft Windows Vista build 5536 is now available as a free download to the public. However there are some catches. Firstly, this 2.5 Gigabyte of file can be downloaded only by those who have downloaded the Beta2 of Vista. This is because, all those who downloaded the Beta2 have received a CD Key with Microsoft, and this CD Key must be provided before downloading the Pre-RC1 Vista. Also, do note that this build is limited to only 100, 000 downloads so, if you meet all the necessary requirements, better start downloading now:

Also, do note that Microsoft has confirmed that it will ship RC1 during this quarter. The later has declared the prices of Vista to some vendors:
Amazon: Ultimate Edition Vista: $US399
Canada: Windows Vista Ultimate $C499
Home Platinum (Premium) $C299
Home Premium Upgrade $C199
but these prices are yet to be finalised by Microsoft, which according to them is possible only when Vista RC1 will be shipped.
