I have just joined and would be obliged for advice!
i have rcently upgraded from dial up to broadband
I use an apple computer e mac and connet using a ASDL Modem router. The router I use is a SAMR 4112 (safecom techonology)
The problem I have is that I can no longer connect to the apple software update site to update my software. i contacted apple and they stated it was a firewall issue.
I have looked through the router configuration page and frankly do not understand it.
However it must be possible to make an adjustment in the router configuration to enable the computer to connect to apple
Also is it advisiable to change the router password and if so how.
I would be very obliged if any one can offer an opnion or help
