Hi

I have a serious crush for 8bit and 16bit computers since all
my childhood background revolved around them, but for a
curious reason I never had on my own a 8bit computer.
All of my friends had the ZX Spectrum (in all editions) as well
as Amstrad CPC's and Commodore 64's while I was entertaining
myself with my Philips Videopac7000 (Odyssey 2 in USA) and
the Atari VCS (my parents were somehow focused that I
needed a computer to play games so they ended up with game
consoles in my favour).

My first real computer was the Atari 520 STFM and after that
the Amiga 500, Amiga 600 and Amiga 1200.
I also have an Acer Aspire 1600 with dual boot XP and Mepis
9.0, plus all the emulators I can think of. But nothing compares
to the real thing, right?!

After completing my crave for collecting video game consoles
(I have a spare Atari VCS 6 switch if anyone is inteterested!)
I made a turnover to home computing once again. Something
like a childhood dream never achieved. So I try to find these
time forgoten machines one by one to learn them from scratch.

I know this is not much related with the high tech scope of
daniweb, but once a computer always a computer I guess..

Nice site you have here, and it is so helpful..
My greetings..
