Re: They don't want us to post

One point and one point only I am goingt o make.

I don't like ASP but I would not stop a thread on one of my boards if someone was talking about it, so just because someone here does not like game threads it was topped and I was told I was basicly wasting valuble time and disk space.

I did send the person in question a private message and had no reply that is why I posted in the geeks lounge just air my views not to get into a debate about it, after my first post this thread should of been LOCKED as it is a waste of time and disk space :-)

Re: They don't want us to post

Pm alc and ask to open it beacuse that desision was a very bad one and it was a totally different game and I think he was just messing around with his powers.

Re: They don't want us to post

Okay...

I figure it's time for me to weigh in on this thread. I've unlocked the thread, and folks are free to post in it and enjoy the intent of the thread.

I think it was the poster with the "potato pie" that threw me off, but I think I missed the point of the thread. I wasn't trying to throw around my powers or anything, I just believed it, at the time, to be redundant. My mistake-- a technical word association game is pretty cool, in my opinion.Further in concurrance with the concensus of the moderatorship, stuff like this isn't against the rules, and should not be locked.

So, I'll state it publicly, I don't really care for games like this, but I'm going to let the games fly unless they break a forum rule, despite what my feelings on them are.

Re: They don't want us to post

I'm sorry I'm so late in my involvement with this matter. I was away at a convention the past few days and just arrived home last night. I agree the thread shouldn't have been locked, and am very happy with how everyone dealt with the matter. Enjoy!

Is this why you shut down my thread in the C/C++ forum on C++ is dying a slow death because of personal reasons or because you are an advocate of Microsoft. If you did then i think you have overstepped your boundaries. The reason you offered me was the argument could go on forever and thread was getting out of topic(which was due only to some members) Please clarify... alc

ps: I do not hate Microsoft

>because of personal reasons
That's against the rules. None of the moderators (to my knowledge) would ever consider locking a thread for personal reasons.

>because you are an advocate of Microsoft
What does Microsoft have to do with C++ dying a slow death?
