Re: Usa Elections 2004 Please Do Vote Here

We may drive the biggest car on the international road, but our gas tank is in the Middle East. Thus, our current troubles.

Whichever way you want to vote, if you are eligible, you SHOULD vote. Not voting means you don't care what happens either way. Given the way people like to complain, it seems like people DO care what happens. At least if you vote, you can say you tried to fix things.

Re: Usa Elections 2004 Please Do Vote Here

Thats like choosing to shoot yourself because its less frightening/traumatic than drowning.
Shootin yourself is still shootin yourself.
How about a choice of real people to vote for, rather than the amature dramatic antics of these guys " when you were a small boy, you pulled legs off spiders!"
followed by people saying " ooo not voting for him. sadist"
It'd be nice to have a guy who doesnt care what he looks like, and just tells the truth about healthcare being crap or education down the pan. But on the up-side, the economy is strong so it will all recover within 18 months.
the smallest glimmer of hope is surely better than a pack of lies and evasive speaches.
I Live in the UK right now and am moving to USA soon (hence the moaning about it )
you try paying what we do for fuel.. ooo 2 dollars a gallon is loads ! .. lol. drive my car for a week

The Communist Party of The United States of America (CPUSA) is publicly
supporting the election of John Kerry, how much further left can you get?

I know that, but his policies aren't that liberal. The CPUSA are just supporting him to get rid of Bush. I'm personally a member or the Socialist Party, which has it's own candidates, but most of us are voting Kerry this time.

If you compare Kerry's platform to almost any other liberal party you'll see he's pretty conservative. He's just supported by the far left.

It would be expected that Kerry would do better in debates as he was the team captain for his debate team in college. Bush has no such history; his only education in debates is from the last election.

A president shouldn't be chosen based only on how well he debates, you should research their beliefs and how they have conducted themselves in the past. Chose the person whose values most closely match your own -- that's the way to vote!
I would diagree with that, b/c a debate shows what side the candidates are on. They get to show who is better. I think that the debates are a way to show who is better.

"...you should research their beliefs and how they have conducted themselves in the past."

This is how you really know what side they're on, not by watching/listening to debates.

Re: Usa Elections 2004 Please Do Vote Here

"I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. Unlike my counterpart George Bush, I have no higher education and did not get admitted to Harvard nor graduate with an M.B.A "

Claiming Bush is more intellectual than Kerry? Nice try.

And as for Kerry being rich, George and Dick aren't poor. Bush has 10 pairs of $40,000 boots.

"I make little or no charitable contributions and have never agreed to pay any voluntary excess taxes in Massachusetts, despite family wealth in excess of $ 700 million."

Actually, Teresa runs the Heinz foundation which donates millions of dollars a year. She also overpays her taxes. She released her tax records last week which prove that.

"I (we) own 28 manufacturing plants (Heinz) outside of the U.S. in places like Asia, Mexico and Europe. We can make more profit from the cheaper cost of labor in those Countries, although I blame George Bush for sending all of the other jobs out of Country. I served in Vietnam (four months). "

Teresa and John Kerry have NO control over where the Heinz plants are placed.

If all you can come up with are ad hominems, especially fallicious ones, to discount someone as a candidate then you need to smarten up.

Hi
(From France)
Nice to see people who care about democracy Isn't it ?
I think that TV debates is one way to know about politicians programs but you could have a clear look of what Bush has done during these four years. As I'm concerned I don't think It was good.
I don't speak about Iraq but hust think about the clean air act and the water air act in your contry ( I hope you will not have childs in the future).
Another thing about ecology : Bush says that the Kyoto's agreement is not interesting for the middle term business of USA !!! It's an easy way to give the bill to your child don't you think.
