I think he can do it....its not possible to change the whole situation with single hand it needs support of all. So its our responsibility to give our scope to come out from this negative economy... I hope he will save America.

Let's have the parallel between American & Mr. Obama.

You guys may laugh, but I think social media will have a strong effect on politics from now on. In this way, there are less secrets that can be kept, news stories can become viral in a matter of hours, and more and more people are engaged with what's going on and talking about it. So, I think he has to be more accountable, and his administration's already acknowledging the importance of Web 2.0.

And false stories spread even faster than facts. And seem to persist longer. And the administration knows that as well.

One "change" the President has already made is conducting "town hall meetings". He had one just today in Elkhart, Indiana. To my knowledge no other President has ever done that. Usually when they get into the white house they just stay there.

Oowh! I just got all tingling of excitement inside, hearing of such achievement already.

I am glad you got all tingling about the town meeting - a completely open town meeting where anyone who got a fcfs ticket got in. When is the last time that happened? At least 8 years ago. Bush needed paid shills in the house to ask soft ball questions.

Obama openly talks and listens to the folks that actually suffer. Bush would have held his show in front of military folks at a some base. There is hope!

Very few Americans like socialism. And even fewer like the Bailout plan that is being formed in Congress. But what else can we do? I haven't heard of a single alternative and positive proposal. Doing nothing is not a viable solution because it will probably just make things worse than it is now.

And we can't point fingers just at the Bush administration -- this has been brewing every since Jimmy Carter. It is the "American Dream" that everyone owns their own home -- and a huge one at that. According to 2000 statistics the average size of the American household is 2.58 people. According to the National Association of Home Builders, the average home size in the United States was 2,330 square feet in 2004, up from 1,400 square feet in 1970. So why do people need such large homes when they can't afford the house payments ? And what do they do with those large homes once they become empty nesters?
