They are NOT unemployed! How can you possibly be considered unployed if you have a job and get a paycheck?

There are many unemployed people who are not counted in the unemployment rate. The Bureau of US Statistics does not count every enemployed person, but just takes a sample every month.

Not all of us get government pensions and government healthcare. There are plenty of hard working folks who used to make $40,000 a year and now have to support their family flipping hamburgers at $14,000 a year without health insurance. I would say that they are at least 50% unemployed.

I think the US government's U-6 number is probably more realistic. Nevada's high local unemployment number of 11% has hit illegal aliens pretty hard. They are not part of that number.

Yeah, the U-6 is probably way more accurate considering these:There are other considerations to keep in mind, such as that the US has one of the highest imprisonment rates in the world and it is probably a good guess that many of them would be unemployed if they were on the streets (this might be a stretch but worth thinking about).

My idea is to develop IC programmers , electronic hobby kits and
sell them on the ebay. anyway my father is also a electronic engineer since 1999 he work as a senior VLSI designer at hong
