Well, Beck has really gone off the deep end lately so I wouldn't pay much attention anything he was screaming at this point.
Who the hell is this Beck and why are you talking about him?
I can guess, that probably has something to do my use of the socialist word. Which somehow it always triggers a nonsense association with some radio or tv dude that I am supposed to be subscribed to, just because I don't believe in socialism; and as far as I can see it appears that a great portion of their audience are you, liberals.

Re: Unemployment Numbers

That would be Glenn Beck and GrimJack brought him up.

Ah, thank you. I don't care to read what GrimJack has to say, but it fits with his typical style. While the full name sounds familiar somehow, I would not doubt it is one of Mr. GrimJack's favorites right-wing chip-on-the-shoulder.

Re: Unemployment Numbers

Got to agree though, there are some people here who make more on the dole (social security) than if they actually got a job... so no incentive tio work... maybe we need to get tougher on these people...

Its about 6.5% here.

I had nut-job Beck stupidity like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rM4xq...eature=related
and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ex695...eature=related
more in mind...
Loser is still apt though.
Well, Fox News has their own brand of news. Consider it divertissement for the numb-nuts.

>So the US has a long way to go!
It'll take not very long to get there if the same socialist policies that are much to blame in Europe for the unemployment rates, continue to be adopted by Congress.
Actually, most European countries have much better looking numbers than the USA.

California's unemployment number just jumped to 11.2%.

Small language conflict here, Social Security in the USA is the rather meager old folks pension and has little to do with freeloading. Strange that they call the "dole" in Britain "social security".

California could be a country in is own right, comparable to some nations in Europe; capital and population wise. California is one of the most socialist state in USA, perhaps only second to New York. See the results.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jobseeker%27s_Allowance

"The Dole, is a form of unemployment benefit that is paid by the government to people who are unemployed and seeking work. it is part of the social security benefits system"

"Social security primarily refers to a social insurance program providing social protection, or protection against socially recognized conditions, including poverty, old age, disability, unemployment and others."

So i am correct.
