Re: The Beautiful Rockies
There is no "middle-of-nowhere" in the USA anymore, just areas where the state won't let you build a five-acre warehouse. In these "remote" areas is where the most ****tarded criminals go, and why it's a good ideal to travel with your truckgun/survival-rifle. Seriously, I've come across some shady individuals out there, and thankfully 'we'(family and me) only have had to converse with the idiot breed that gets lost without GPS and can't lie worth shit(claiming to be hunting some-random-out-of-season-game, and wearing flip-flops with island print shorts).

At least, in well inhabited areas your neighbors watch your back, but when you're out there, the only people that watch you are the ones you don't want.

Time to head to the Canadian tundra!

Re: The Beautiful Rockies
I grew up in the Rockies. I do not understand the point of this post and/or the pictures. What are the chances that any broke down vehicle anywhere had this happen? 100% if it did and 0% if it didn't. Events in isolation mean nothing 'statistically'. It is a terrible thing to have happened but a 'meaningless' event otherwise.

I sometimes forget how many guns there are in the US. Here in australia it is pretty rare to own a gun and *very* rare for someone to walk/drive around with it.

I think in some ways the reason that we dont have loads of guns is that criminals rarely use guns. So we dont need them as a defence. I was looking at a few statistics yesterday and if i'm not wrong the US has the same amount of gun deaths in one day that australia has in a year

http://www.guncontrol.org.au/index.php?article=75 <-- Australia
http://thegreenman.net.au/mt/gun_deaths_in_usa.htm <-- US

But yeah, poor guy

According to this: http://www.car-accidents.com/pages/stats.html
We also like to run people over too, and then we like to go breed like rabbits afterwards: http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/...th-rates_N.htm

Beside do you trust Aussies with guns, when they get upset over limiting consumption at 24 beers, while at a race: http://www.asylum.com/2009/10/09/aus...-racing-event/

Don't forget about your: stoned kangaroos, baby eating dingos, colorful euphemisms, and those funny looking AUGs.

It's always weird what a country has its name associated with, over the years. Canadians are stoned hippie liberals, Americans are right-wing obese hillbillies, Mexicans are poor and have magical abilities to destroy America over night. Wow, the way things work! lol
