fake emails

hey i wasnt sure what forum section i should ask this in but watever. Alright i have heard alot about people getting scamed by emails either saying they are paypal or steampowered.com or some other company, how can u mask your email to make it say it is from some1 else. I dont want to scam anybody i just want to scare the hell out of a couple of my friends.

Instead of typing direct url for example http://www.google.com and letting email client to make it hyperlink ... you can use <a href="http://www.google.com">Yahoo</a>. This will mask Yahoo to google

You can use email spoofing from the command line, although you can easily tell they are fake by looking at the header info. Then most ISP disallow such action.
