A 'Lush' in my language would be either
a/ someone who 'uses' others to provide an easy life, or
b/ a life without care, no worries about money etc, such as a hereditary millionaire may have.

A "lush" is also an habitual drunkard. Lush Life is also a jazz number written by Billy Strayhorn in 1933 as well as a novel by Richard Price from 2008.

normally attributed to women? And forgive me RJ, but I forgot the Jazz!

Thanks, guys (yet left none wiser =)).
In my case, "Lush Life" (rel. 1961) is an album by John Coltrane (1926-1967).
