Technology and Productivity

Expand Post »
I am a knowledge manager/indsutry analyst for a growing IT consulting company. As a consulting company, we are continually asked, especially by bigger companies, how worker productivity should be managed in today's working world. After dealing with many companies, I am realizing that the single biggest factor that workers contribute to their lack in productivity is a lack of appropriate technology or training in that technology. I did some research into the issue of technology and worker productivity and found this survey <snipped>. I was impressed that a company was actually doing research into this field because it seems like the most pressing issue that companies ask our advice about. I'm excited because they offering an executive summary of their results to anyone who took the survey. But they added an extra bonus, that being a free Microsoft Zune as a raffle prize to the survey takers. I figured some of you would be interested in that.
