I’m a research student investigating Software Engineering Tools and if the organizations that use them demonstrate greater success rates in their software projects.
There is a multitude of unsuccessful software projects in the world – the question I’m researching is “do software engineering tools make a difference?”. In difficult financial times anything that promotes success deserves a closer look. The academic literature is somewhat light on this issue, particularly in the commercial software area.
