hi,

in order to develope an update for protection from a specific or a newly found threat virus/threat etc. the anti-virus firms must fisrt analyse the code of the virus and see how it works. then build the required protection. right? but how do they actually access the code of the virus when it is generally hidden is some malicious way. thanks..

Hello,

Malware, just like any other program is hidden by 'packing' it using a special method. There are many different packing formats. However, it is quite easy now to come by unpackers, as long as you look in the right spots.
