I do not know if it is just me... But it irks me everytime I see a thread that is FIVE years old with a new reply. Hasn't it occured to some of us that perhaps that person found his or her answer YEARS AGO???
Sorry but I had to complain. My husband was the one to introduce me to forums and one of the first things he advised against was precisely that. He always told me that it looks as if I were spamming and as if I could not add value to another thread.
Maybe I should suggest to Dani and forum moderators to close the threads after a specific amount of time. I think the internet is continuously evolving and commenting on VERY old threads is simply inexplicable.
OK... I'm done ranting... My advice to beginners, stop reviving old threads just to drop one liners. If you are going to add something of REAL value, then perhaps it can be understandble. But I think you will have a much better experience if you open a new thread and provide all Daniwebbers valuable information.
