Hi,
I am working as a Manager in Web Development Company, I have work experience in Both Drupal and Joomla.

This is my opinion or views about Drupal Vs Joomla in terms of Development Cost.
Mainly I post my comments, to know others opinion about this.

But, As a Manager or as a Client, I think of ways to reduce the development time and Money. Note, Time is Money.

Please visit: (Note: these are not mine...Just i picked up some components, Take time to see the functionality and look & feel, Plug & Play)http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/contacts-and-feedback/testimonials-a-suggestions/13145

In Joomla:

I can buy this component and set up in my website, I may pay about 50$ to 100$. (Just an example)
Time needed will be, around 1 hour.

In Drupal:
There are many modules are available, But It is very rare that We can download the modules as it is and Use it directly in our production server.
It needs lots of rework and finds tuning and need to customize to match the requirement.
Do you think, the existing drupal modules can be customized to match the quality of the extension in the Joomla with-in 2 hours?
Lets say, you take about 5 days to customize the drupal module.
Calculate the Cost: 40 * 25$ => 1000$ for one module.

In Drupal, You are paying about 900$ extra. (May the time worth of that Money).

My point here is: Some people think that, Drupal is Free and it reduces the Development Time and Cost. But actually it is NOT.
Drupal free modules does not mean it always reduce the development Cost.
It is NOT. In Drupal the Development Cost & Time is more, Compared to Joomla.
Just I would like to know many peoples opinion here...Please share you’re Views.
