This is my problem:
My .mdb (microsoft access 2003 file) is containing pricing table and client table.
(I used visual basic 6 to create an application)

The user can install my application in their own pc and record their client into a provided client table.

But, the company might change the pricing table every now and then. So the company needs to send (via email) the "update" for the pricing table every now and then.

So I want to update the pricing table without interfering the client table, will it be possible?

it is a continuous process, so we make batch of some students and each batch has a alphabatical identity for example "ABCD" and each student is allloted with a number e.g "1 - 10" if a group comprises of 10 students. Now each teacher checks him and gives him grades separately. The grades are in alphabets like A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3, C1, c2, c3, d1, d2, d3, e1, e2, e3. After meeting they decide in which grade he should be placed.

so i want a data base in which the batch identity and number should be his identity, name of student, grade given by each teacher along with teacher names and over all grade for that batch, commencing date , end date, their intelligence and mechanical test grade (in numerics), Group position (in numerics), and their quiz test number.

What i want to do is upon selecting the course, i want to filter for students not already specified for that week and course.
Referencing the above table, when i select "Engineering", i have two students in the combo dropdown Joe & Jay, where i specify Joe in the first instance. In the second record, for the same week and course, i only have one student to select - Jay.
The query i have works well for week 1 BUT when i start with week two, if i specify Engineering, i have NO MORE STUDENTS TO SELECT! I'm pretty sure there is a way to refresh the box for new weeks. I'd like to create an access database for a vaccine clinic I am managing in a large slum here in South Asia.

So basically I want to create a form that auto-populates. Say a baby comes in: I open a new form, assign a unique id (probably the vaccination card number), enter the child's name, bio data and vaccine received today (say dose 1 of diptheria). The form then automatically stores all the information in a table. Next time the child comes in I simply search by the id and the form opens up autopopulated (with the data that was filled in at the dipth 1 visit). I just verbally confirm the name/address with the mother and then fill in/select that on this date now dose of 2 of diptheria is registered. The form automatically updates the table etc. etc.

At the end of the month I want to do some basic data analysis on the table. I want to see for example, what the average deviation in age is for each vaccine. Dose 1 of dip is supposed to be given at e.g. 2 months of age but if the average age that the child comes in for it is 3 months then I'm concerned.

I can manage the data analysis part by setting up queries (I'm pretty new to access, I only know how to create simple queries and stuff) but I have absolutely no idea how to create such a form - i.e. one that autopopulates a table, is blank when needed (i.e. for a new child) and in searching for an id will autopopulate if the child is on a followup visit..

I have a very simple code in the Click _ Event Sub.
However it seems the code is ok, file gets imported but I get a separate table with errors in import.
In that table two fields are specified as error fileds.
The fields data type is numeric and I have set the filed definition in the table as number for both. I tried saving the problem fileds in the csv file as text and then in design view changed the fileds type to text. That did not work too.
What can I do to prevent a second "error" table to be created and the csv file to get imported in the access table ok ?

In my order table & form I have fields that I setup with "look up" data type (this puts a dropdown box on the table & form) that finds data for product type and product name from my products table above. I noticed that when I set the lookup that a new relationship appeared on my relationships page.

QUESTION A) I want to select a product type from my dropdown and only the products matching that type will appear in my product name drop down. Effectivly filtering my product results allowed.
QUESTION B) Once I have filtered my products drop down (as in part A) and I have selected the particular product from my next look up I want the trade price and RRP to update using the data from my products table.

Can anybody please shed some light on how to achieve this and explain what steps I need to take? I created a button and I used the button wizard in Access 2007 to open form and find specific record. I picked customer ID field and customer ID field and clicked the <<>> button in middle to select in both forms.

However when clicked the button opens the order form but stays on record 1 not the one I have selected in my customer form.

Anybody got any ideas what I am doing wrong? I have setup my relationships with primany and foreign key using a 1 to many relationship type which appears to work. I can manually select different customer orders in my order form and my order details sub form updates correctly. Firstly, I should to permit the user for adding more classes and then more courses to these basic assumptions. (But how the user can add another table that the relationship between new table and the Ind information table makes sense).
How can I save the grades in table?
It is better to use different table for different class with using different courses as filed in this table.

Or add all the courses in my filed and for each ID I just fill out the course for that class.

Or something else I don't know?

Another problem is when some person has grades with lower than 15, I have to add another grades for this person. This person failed then must have another grade for taking effect in GPA.

I want this to happen in Access only instead of adding file attachments I want it to add a como box each time that is controled by data in one of my tables.

I.e. 1 blank combo box that I can drop down and select a product. then click add new and another blank combo box would appear underneath it and so on. Also eventually the space would run out so the actual form size would need to auto grow to accomodate the extra fields.

Any ideas? Event(Eid,Ename,Grade)
Enrollment(Enid,Sid,Eid)

Grade(by calculating the age) A>=16 B=14-15 C<=13
But my assumption is that each student can only apply for 3 events.
How can I display the corresponding events for the student to choose and limit his choices to 3?

And I want to let the diploma field checkbox be filled in automatically when I enter the mark field, and if the mark field value is more than 5.5.
