Take a look at the StringTokenizer or Regex packages and then get back if you still have questions. You should be able to specify white space as a delimiter and quickly be able to count the number...

I don't doubt that ;) I have to listen to programmers and read/write code all day, so some hardware talk would be great. Of course with building my own machine I always look into how I can make it...
