The default for microsoft is every 15 minutes, I can't remeber off hand the exact details of how to reduce the network over load/ increase the timings, but is documented on the Microsoft technet...

You can also check it with replmon, and force it from there. goto support tools directory and run if from there (it part of the kit that comes on the server 2003 server disk)

1) Did it work? The single beep is POST sucess! normally any others are errors.
2) Have you tried as suggestted another pc/laptop or another monitor. The screen should go a murky grey if disconnected...
