ACtually, opened up the case, and found teh cpu heatsink to be covered in dust...i re applied thermal paste to the cleaned processor and blew out all the gunk, working perfectly now!

The computer is on a network of about 15 other PC's, all XP and 2000. This computer received no internet or network connection unless in safe mode.

Definitely can't browse, use AIM or anything when the connection isn't working. The system as far as I can tell is perfectly clean. Any other ideas??

Stubborn Virus Infected DLL

Ridding this computer of viruses and spyware except for this one stubborn dll logm.dll located in the Windows/System32 Folder.

Well, there are other computers on the wireless network that still work just fine, and the fact that the wireless laptop is receiving a IP address would indicate that the router is functioning...
