:$ Wow! That got it done. I had the same problem with my computer. I got that shadows thing checked and it got rid of the blue highlight.

Ok my story goes like this:

I attempted to install XP on a pre-existing Vista Computer. But it kept blue-screening just before the installation initiated after the setup went through loading files....

Oh drat! I switched back to RAID and neither does XP nor Vista works.
I had to run the start-up repair using the Vista DVD to fix Vista.

I was unable to install XP as I didn't have a floppy that had SATA controllers. So, I converted the HDD Controller from BIOS from RAID to IDE. Then I installed XP. Now even if I switch back to RAID,...

Can we not change the Controller to IDE from the BIOS. I tried it and it worked. But I am not sure if we can switch back to Sata Controller.
