The persistant security issues of PHPbb concern me. These forums seem to be readily hacked.

I also like the power and flexibility vBulletin has. I rarely see a PHPbb that loks as nice as a vBulletin...

You could do this and require users to choose a usergroup, thus giving them access to only the appropriate forums.
