very good that your time is so very limited. fink can only install in root mode. when it changes netinfo, its of no concern when you trash sw.

so, people can live in different worlds. THE disc-repair-utility, that saved my day
in 4 years OSX, DISCWARRIOR, is reported to fail and damage disc´s.

use disc-warrior to rebuild b-tree. ( you have to mount from a different volume,
than the one you are working on)
