Can anybody tell me how to get the current date in a java program?

And, I want to insert the date into a database with a date/time format, is there any difference from insert a string?

generelly, what i'm trying to do is to set up a simple mail server using java servlet as well as jsp

Now, my program can already show the subjects of all the mails in the inbox(this page call...
