Hacking in Java/C++ and maybe soon some Ruby (or whatever else is not bloated) because the writing is on the wall in big letters I think.
I'm interested in software architecture, how environment shapes the pattern languages we apply, and how they then end up as frameworks. I'm also interested in new and strange paradigms of programming.
