"Me in a Nutshell" Bio

* I've been programming using all kinds of languages since I was about 8 or 9 years old.(starting with Basic on my first computer, which was an Amstrad CPC 464)

* I'm almost completely self-taught.

* I've been programming professionally for about 5 years.

* My first programming job was with a leading uk elearning company, developing and maintaining their C++ based multimedia engine and its associated elearning content.

*I was also involved with developing and maintaining:

- Online training software and content using Flash/AS1 and AS2. (plus some DHTML/Javascript)

- Several LMS Systems developed using ASP.NET, SQL Server and C#.

* I now work as a C++ analyst programmer for a UK based company who provide market leading 3D CAD/CAM software to the shoemaking industry. My role involves the continuous development and maintainance of their range of products.

Interests

* Drumming with Downfall ( http://www.myspace.com/downfallband ) and teaching the drums.

* All aspects of programming and computing in general:
- Developing apps in C/C++/C#
- Game development using Flash (Actionscript 1,2,3/Flex/AIR/Papervision 3D)
- 3D Modelling with Blender
- Python - for blender scripts and for general tools
