On a strictly code based critique
Tables are not used for layout, they do not display any part until the entire table is rendered. CSS positioning is used for layout
Fixed size elements body, fonts etc look ridiculous on widescreen pc occupies a very small portion of the screen, and creates scroll bars on part screens. fixed size font on hi res monitors are invisibly small
the current best practice, W3C recommended unit of measure are ems and %
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...Inline&group=0 xhtml strict, is strict, hacks that were ok in html mess up xhtml -repair errors fropm the top as each one tends to effect those after
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/v...ning=1&lang=en css -errors
code errors may make the site fail to display or display incorrectly in some browser combinations, check it out at http://www.browsershots.org
the site is a cumbersome, speed tweaks are available
http://analyze.websiteoptimization.c...ww.ngued.com/&
It works - a big thing in review requests, many sites only work in the browser laid it out on,
gets the feeds, feeds load in a reasonable time it could be better, there is a lot of wasted real estate.
sitemeter.com will not register any of the 40 approx page hits from my ip 24.138.x.x it trips my spyware program and the javascripts are blocked
better is to use your own servers logs to traffic analyse as even googles monitors are considered spyware (traffic reporting to a third party, loading scripts on the client computer without permission, classic spyware) if you have not access to the server logs or webstats then consider installing a php asp script on your site to monitor locally, cant be blcoked
Special note, finding faults is way easier than coding the site
