Working with Vista Ultimate on a laptop that has successfully connected to router with PCMCIA cards. Internal card placed and is recognized by Windows. Seen in device manager and reports 'working'. Driver is digitally signed by Microsoft.
Network and sharing profile established yet 'cannot connect'
SSID with no security set for this laptop. Network Connections panel shows the 'Windows cannot find any networks' Seeking guidance on how to troubleshoot what remains to be corrected. Much thanks in advance for informed guidance.

Some systems have a wireless switch to enable/disable the wireless card. Check and see if you have any such switch and that it is in the "enabled" position
