I found this on a blog and it really is interesting to see. The blogger developed a flash counter that tallys the amount of activity of various social media types starting with the moment you start looking at it (i.e., number of blog posts, number of tweets, number of new facebook accounts, etc).

This is really cool. It is a dashboard of sorts which feeds from a combination of raw data, but it makes it look live "live" data. I can see the business applications for such dashboard on internal and external business related sites.
