I am a lifetime PC user and this blog has made me a little happier today.
I finally have some people to talk to about my completely rational hatred for the Mac negative advertising campaign...
Not but a few years ago I was a happy little boy, didn't even know much about Macs. Then these commercials started airing and for a while, I didn't care too much, but after so long of having to sit through this crap, I have to draw the big red line! Enough is enough! My hatred for these dumb advertisements has grown to immeasureable levels!
I have a little message...
To: Everyone Else
From: Me
"I'm a PC and I don't change for anyone!!!"

I'm a freelance developer and I shudder every time I turn up to a business and have to use a mac.
I want to go in and get the work done but instead I'm faced with a million different bits of information on the screen at once, all dancing about in pretty pirouettes.
I like to open a window, complete some work and close it again. Simple.
I like to find the toolbar/information bar/menu I'm looking for because there's only a few on the screen to choose from.
I like have two (if not more) mouse buttons.
I like the fact that I'm forced to understand my machine a little more.
I like the fact I'm not paying for a gayman's dresser mirror design.
I like to be able to play games after work and sometimes during.
I like to be able to run little known apps.
I like it that I can put liquid nitrogen pumps in my computer just to see what happens.
I like that I understand the OS that runs most of the worlds technology and that it's flawed but open to suggestion.
I like it that my cursor is an hour glass when it's thinking, not a rainbow.
I like it that it's drab and industrial.
I like it that sometimes it's as messy as my own life and I have to fight and understand to improve and that eventually I'll be in total control.
I don't like windows but I really hate macs!

All I have to say is that it took Apple 10 years to design OSX and after failing many times they finally decided to use a free-bsd system to base their own operating system off of. No matter how many things windows decides to use to better their system that they got from a Mac, the entire mac OS is copied from something that was already made. The WinXP system was developed in 1999 and has continued to prove an outstanding operating system throughout the years that most people still rely on to do things such as e-mail, web browsing, or typing a document. The fact that OSX is being compared to a system 8 years older than it just goes to show that it's a terrible product in the first place. They had 10 years to come up with a product and its only slightly better in some ways, if that.
