Hi all,
I try to update windows and I keep getting the error......."WindowsUpdate_0000052F" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"
I have tried troubleshooting several times and no success.
I have accessed the available updates and and tried just selecting two of the 16 available. it still downloads them, shows installing up to the last of the progress bar then error.
I have got a few update before (7 windows and 3 office) but I can not get past these updates. Most are just for Microsoft office.

Hi Bob,

I came across this, don't know if you've seen it already, any way it is in reference to the same error and MS Office.

Hi,
thank you, I had not seen that and with all the misunderstanding between them I would not have bothered, but, that was the problem. I found out one of the update details and went to the windows site, downloaded the update as a stand alone, and then tried to install it. I got an error message..."invalid... drive G..." I did not have a drive G and I tried to reinstall office but it kept saying the same error message. So I uninstalled office, reinstalled and updated without any problems.
So again, thank you for your help.
