Problems with Sleep or standby mode

  #1
Jan 9th, 2004
I am trying to put my computer into sleep mode which I have a button on my keyboard and also in my start menu i have the option to go into Standby Mode. When ever i try to do either. it will shut down and then restart and bring me back to log in. why will it not stay off? and keep booting back up ?

I thinking its got to be something with my monitor settings or something been playing around but cant figure this problem out.
