JS generated page 'save as' issues

  #1
Jun 16th, 2005
Hi,

I have a series of pages that I have created “printable/savable versions of that I use ‘document.write’ JavaScript generated code to create.

Everything works great in IE, but in Netscape I can show the new generated window, but nothing happens when I select “save page as

In Mac testing with Safari 2.0 I can see the output and save it as a web archive but when I go to open it locally the page shows up blank, even though I can see the source if I View-Source. I have already checked for an unclosed script tag.

Here is a sample URL:

Try the “Save to Disk link to see what I am asking about.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

It works on Firefox 2.0.

What version of Netscape are you using, There was a "Save Page As" bug in one of the versions.

Also check to see if a setting is blocking the operation.
