Trying to adjust image width to match browser size

If the browser is maximized it looks like I want it to look. However, if it isn't, the bg image on the left starts disappearing. Is there anyway to adjust the image to a percent in CSS? Take a look @ the code and let me know, it's a little sloppy, but it's a work in progress . Thanks!

As one would expect, the page will look funky if you try to create a fluid layout and then shrink the viewing area so that it's smaller than the collective width of your images. There's really no solution except to assume a minimum width and design for it.

Alright, I just took the images down to 60px and used html for the left side. Thanks!
