At the DOS prompt, I typed in the command the book gave me and apparently my system does not seem to have QBASIC files at all. I tried both QBASIC and QBASIC.exe. Is there something I'm doing wrong or something I can download to get my computer to be compatible with what I'm trying to learn? Hopefully someone can help me out because I'm totally lost here. And please not too much technical wording. I can understand most but not a lot of it. Like I said I'm really new.

Did you eventually work out how to get into QBasic? I am in a similar situation as you were. Please help. :-|
