Hey there,
I recently edited the smb.conf file on one of my machines(G4 tower running 10.4.1). It did not blow up in my face, yay.
However, now when I browse my network in the Finder it has added the folder "My Network" in addition to a folder for my Workgroup. Inside they both have an alias to the powermac, however, in the folder with my workgroup's name the alias won't authenticate and says it the original item can't be found. In the "My Network" folder I can double-click and authenticate just fine.
In my smb.conf file it still has workgroup equaling my workgroup's name.
What could cause such an error?
