I have an old compaq proliant 1600r rackmount server with 512mb of RAM and a Pentium two - three hundred odd MHz...
Anyway, I baught a second P2 CPU of equal power , already on the server - specific CPU board off of ebay and took out the blank board from the CPU cage and slotted it in. Its seated ok and works if I put it in slot 1 instead but I cant seem to get either working in the second CPU board slot.
Is the CPU cage backboard damaged?
