hi, i'm really a newbie and hoping that anyone can help me with this. I have a Window XP installed running IE6. i sometime run registryfix to clean up window. ...recently, when i run registryfix, it stops at HKey_Current_User/software/microsoft/internet explorer/main/showedcheckbrowser. ...It stops and then abort the operation of registryfix. Thus i can't use registryfix anymore. I try to see what under there by Using Comman ..Run/regedit ..but when i click on HKey_Current_User/software/microsoft/internet explorer/main ..it disappears the whole window. I can't access the file. THis happened when i use Registry Mechanic sofware too.

Can anyone help me?? please..

Give regedt32.exe (is standard installed on 2k and xp) a try, see if you can acces that particular key now.
