I think the header could do with a more musical theme. At the moment it looks like more of an advertiser site or something rather than a service for people who want to find artists/bands. Maybe some photos of musicians and stuff blurred together would help.

I think if your site was more graphical like this it would captivate your audience. Your target audience are the types of people who like 'cool' looking stuff I suspect.

I like it and here is why:

It is different. It isn't trying to hard to be flashy, but simple and is effective. Instead of creating a complex banner for the top of the page, with feathered images, he or she has gone with a simple black text on orange background. THat is a type of design that is becoming popular now. It works cause it is differnt than what you usuually see on the web and tv. just look at a NEXTEL commercial. it's mostly text over a yellow background and is cool to look at.

also, look at a compny like ebay. it is a site to sell things. if you look at their graphics, they relate nothing to selling. there just bubly and fun. and simple, which is effective. just like you did with your site

people like when others think outside the box. and that is what this site has done with it's design. and i like it.
