camcorder video transfer

  #1
Oct 17th, 2005
I have a digital(Sony) Camcorder; it has both USB2 link and ilink.
I can transfer video using USB2 link with "fair" quality
Will I experience faster transfer and enhanced video transfer if I use a ilink/firewirse transfer (I do not have a firewire card so before investing in the hardware I am asking)

thanks

Your camera may be Sony hc 35 or similar. It may have a relatively slow usb which is compatible to usb2 (usb1.1?) but only cameras with usb2.o(high speed) are true usb2 products. This may cause your transfer to be only "fair" but also the pc s/w used for transfer may contribute.
