When I try to use my Lighting Effects filter I get a message:

Could not complete the Lighting Effects command because a requested property value could not be found.

Anybody have any thoughts?

Don't know what causes this and can't find any documentation on the web addressing it. I have found two possible work arounds. The first is to convert your document to CMYK then right back to RGB, that worked for me but not for my co worker, so we had him select all in the layer, cut, then paste back into the document. He was then able to access the Layer Effects control panel. Hope this helps!

I had to do the copy, cut and paste routine and then it worked fine. Weird. Thanks for the help.
