I'm not sure if this is meant to be a joke or what, so i will try to take it seriously. Could you please expand on what happens when you try and boot up the computer?

Well then its one of two things. Power supply adapter, or motherboard. YOu could test the power supply with a multimeter, and if it checks out ok then it has to be the motherboard. I'd probably bet that it is at the end of its road, and ready to be laid down in the laptop graveyard.
