okay, i'm doing an upgrade on my machine, i want to install a new intel mother-board with a PCI-express slot and get a NEW PCI Graphic card.
But with windows Vista coming out next year with the new directx10, do you guys think that the hardware change will be such a big deal, to wait until the release to upgrade?

Windows Vista will be 64-bit ONLY. This means that whatever motherboard you want to get should have that option, your processor should follow suit and be 64-bit. The other things don't matter as much. If you are going to build a CPU, you should probably buy the best and newest all at the same time, for maximum compatibility and such.
