What are dangers of two XP's and one partition?

I know windows will not support an xp with two installs on one partition. I did it for a while no probs. What are the technical dangers in specific.

problem wont arise if u know that what are u doing and in which OS(in the dual boot) u r doing
Problems comes only when u install certain s/w's which uses default path to install
check that the software which u install goes to right OS.
